Purpose of Chamber

Lurgan Chamber of Commerce & Industry is an independent organisation with straightforward objectives – to promote business, and in doing so to represent the best interests of the business community by encouraging commercial growth and, consequently, local prosperity.

 
Representation and Lobbying

Membership of the Chamber means being part of a support organisation where lobbying and representation are important aspects of membership.  The views of members are gathered to ensure that the individual’s opinions and demands are expressed at every opportunity in the appropriate forum, and through active lobbying.

A crucial aspect of our activity is ensuring that the views of the business community are expressed to elected representatives.  The Chamber holds four seats on the board of Lurgan Forward, the town management company, who have regular contact with MPs, MLAs, Councillors and Government Ministers.

The Chamber is an independent apolitical body where policy development is driven by our members.
